How many R2 are being produced each week

If 20,000 vehicles are to be produced this year there should be a thousand or so vehicles leaving Normal weekly. Not seeing much in Forums indicating this type of quantity is being produced. Anyone have any factual production info numbers.

It's a ramp up so October through December will be the big months to watch. November/December probably going to be a logistics madhouse.

It’s almost certainly not a linear ramp. When producing new car there are glitches to get out of the production line, car, delivery, etc. as these are removed things get faster and it’s only after reaching a certain level that the company will add shifts. The trouble is the details are hard to predict. How long will it take to fix each issue and what will be the next long pole. And what external factor (supply chains?) will surprise you. Launching a new vehicle is hard.
Also I saw somebody got a 72xx vin. 1/3 of the way there. I’d say the numbers look promising.

Thanks, first data point for this thread between your build and mine was 7 weekdays, so last 7 weekdays in June they built at least 553 assuming they are close to sequential coming off the line. That’s 79 a day in the very early ramp up.

Hopefully we can see more data soon.

Doubt that. I have a Sep-Oct order window, so no VIN assigned yet and Rivian tells me, depending on trim etc, that I'll still have the vehicle by November latest.

Rivian is now saying 20-25,000 by year's end. Now that they're saying they're pushing back Premium into 2027, who knows where the numbers will fall?

Premium hasn't changed timeline. RJ misspoke and then it was amplifed by a blog as an announcement of a delay.

I’ve had an LLM pointed at this question for a month or so. Probably just slop. But it’s just crawling this and other forums , as well as web content. It auto does the graph and ads a new bar each week.

It isn’t a constant. It’s a variable, because it’s a “production ramp”. Start out slow, to identify and correct problems, then gradually increase speed of assembly line towards goal, identifying/correcting more problems along the way until everything is worked out and at maximum speed.

And production is batched to minimize complexity within each batch. This means VIN assignments aren’t necessarily sequential.

Set speculation aside. Wait for next investor report.

Let's also keep in mind that the 2nd line shift will kick in at the end of September, so in theory we should see close to a doubling of the production numbers over Oct, Nov and Dec. That's likely why so many of us have Nov/Dec windows currently.
