Some good points made in there. Tesla does seem to have missed the right moment to transition from startup to ”legacy EV maker”, but they make so much more profit per vehicle than any other manufacturer, they still have time to correct that mistake before other companies fully catch up.

Agree with their criticism of Tesla’s choices on what to produce. Had they chosen to offer the first EV truck instead of a Model Y, they would have a pretty good foothold already, even if it was a hideous triangular nightmare.

There was literally no mention of his personal politics in that video. It showed one graph illustrating how since his failure to not buy Twitter, Tesla’s approval dropped 20% among Democrats and gained 3% among Republicans.

I know, you're right. I mean I really don't know because I couldn't actually get through it all, but I do understand your point. And I also understand the content is being delivered with a lot of bias, that was evident within the first 30 seconds. And that the people on the more extreme ends of the Tesla love/hate spectrum will get fired up and create another Elon/Tesla bash-a-thon on this otherwise lovely Rivian forum.

I'd be very happy to be completely wrong about this.

Yes, your “bias” antenna is finely tuned and the cat is now out of the bag - there is a worldwide effort to force Elon to act like an idiot on a regular basis with the goal of making he and his companies look bad. It’s diabolical isn’t it?

The premise that Consumer Reports is an authoritative source on customer satisfaction is ignorant.

Here's a Rivian discussion from today that has me a bit concerned. Both for the future of Rivian and the inaccuracies about Rivian.

I'm not going to bother watching that, but Tesla has no fumbled. They still produce the most EVs in the US and have the best DC Fast Charging network. The only thing Tesla has lost so far is the race to be the first EV truck, and their CEO decided he wants to bite the hands that made Tesla successful.

I never said how wonderful of a company Tesla is. I never said I love Elon or Tesla. I never said I hate Elon/Tesla. What I said is that we're going to begin bashing Elon and Tesla again and that the forum was, stated sarcastically, in need or another Tesla bashing thread. It's a Rivian forum. The first post of the thread made no mention of Rivian and has no relation to Rivian in any way. That's all fine, I'm just saying we probably didn't need ANOTHER thread to cover Elon. That's it. And yet, here we are. Self fulfilling prophecy?

No, you never did say those things. Nor did I quote you as saying them. Based on your constant and immediate whining about any negative comment about Tesla you appear to be auditioning for the role of adjunct forum moderator who gets to approve who is allowed to say what and where.

There is no rule here prohibiting discussions about Rivian competitors or other vehicle manufacturers. In fact there is a dedicated area for just that. So anyone is free to start the discussion, others are free to participate in it, and you are free to come here and whine about it If you so choose. I’m glad to see you always making the most of that….
