I put in my points a few years ago for a tag in 53 just on the other side of the elk wilderness. I came up empty handed as I watched a nice buck on the other side of a creek just past sundown on the last day of the season. No regrets, it’s a beautiful place just to scout.Thanks for sharing. Yeah I am a little worried about exactly what you said - I don’t need the truck to be a distraction. I hunt 54 every year and we will stay fairly mobile until packing in makes sense and end up driving through town at least once normally. If Gunnison gets a fast charger that will help a lot.
