This voids the warranty?
Any aftermarket modification you make is not factory original. Anything that isn't factory original is not covered by warranty. And if anything that is covered by warranty is damaged by your non-factory modification, expect vehicle manufacturer to deny coverage. But, they have to prove the non-factory modification is the cause—if you dispute it and take them to litigation. Installation or use of non-factory modification does not automatically void warranty. The action to void warranty happens only when one tries to get coverage for damages/repairs.
