Is there anyway to reset a door locking mechanism?

Brand new R1s Gen2 Dual Max 100 miles. My left passenger door latch locks itself automatically (this door only) when it is opened. I havea to pull the handle a second time and try to close the door quickly before it locks again and smashes the door hook. All of the other doors remain unlocked an behave normally.

I now currently have to manually flip the lock to open position and quickly close the door.
