when air hits the front of the truck and goes over the roof I can see why bars on the roof would have an effect on range, but I cant see how it would have an effect when they are mounted over the bed. Looking at pickup trucks in a wind tunnel the air would have almost no change on whether or not the bars are back there.
Can someone share some concrete data? It looks like there would be more of an effect if your tonneau cover is open/closed or bed open/closed or if you did one less 0-60 pull per day.
