A new to me R1T came with this sensor on the passenger side front light. Looks like the film on the light was cut out to fit the sensor and then it fits exactly into that spot. Anyone have an idea of what it may be for? It is not wired to anything and is basically a sticker. My thought was perhaps a tag for parking or gate access somewhere, but why would it be on the headlight then and not just placed on the windshield?

Thinking I should just pull it off and then go have the PPF on the headlights replaced so there is not a goofy cut out where the sensor is at currently. Any other ideas?

It’s probably a tag for a toll road. Some of those tags have difficulty with the coatings that are placed on some windshields, so an optional mounting is done on the exterior of the vehicle.

That’s a sensor for the laser snow plow system.

That looks like the same gate access decal my neighborhood uses. Oeel it off if not yours.
