Got approval through USSFCU today at the advertised rates on their website. 60 mo at 3.74%, 72 mo @ 4.24% and 84 mo at 4.49%. This is the first time I have actually had a bank offer the advertised rate. In order to get this rate you have to sign up for online banking (0.25% discount) and have autopay from a USSFCU account (0.25% discount). I asked, you can set up autopay from the USSFCU savings, that is mandatory to set up for a membership, and then transfer for another financial institution into that account and then autopay from there.

My experience with United States Senate Federal Credit Union(USSFCU) been okay, filled out joint membership 4/14 and was approved today 4/20. It took little longer because I did a joint membership. I advise anybody who will be doing Secondary Registrant on rivian title to create separate membership at USSFCU and not joint. Finance officer told me I would need a separate membership for my wife before closing. If i knew I would have never done joint membership. I applied for 84 months at 4.49%. And was told will take 1-2 days for status of approval or not.

Hm, My wife and I did joint and processed relatively quickly. I had her as a joint account owner of the initial savings account so maybe that helped?

Interesting, I did a joint account of initial savings as well but was told I will need a separate membership for my wife. Even deposited initial amount required for two people.

Few questions for those that got approved through USSFCU, does the monthly seem incorrect based on your loan amount and interest/term? I did some calculations on my own seems to be higher by least $200 a month. Wondering if they adding some kind of fee. I haven’t requested the loan docs yet to look into details. Update: Loan officer cleared this up today and it was quoted incorrectly to me in previous email.

My r1s has not arrived at the service center, got a email this week that it has left The factory. Those of you that already got approved and still waiting to schedule delivery. Did you just tell your loan officer to wait to send the check or wait to fill out your docs ? Based on the approval email, soon as they send the docs (which are time sensitive) they will issue check to rivian. Update: Can confirm loan rate is good for 60 days and will need to pay $30 fee for Fedex delivery with tracking number (which rivian wants).

USSFCU is great and I highly recommend them. Membership application was a bit of a pain with their due diligence questions being a bit more invasive then I've ever had in opening up an account. But perhaps its because they are trying to be picky on who becomes a member.

Regardless, I was just approved for the advertised rate of 3.24% for 36 months which is a killer rate!

I don't think you will need to renew after your loan is approved. It is also a tax-deductible donation

I did the become an American Consumer Council of Virginia member route which is free. Hed007 posted all the options above, the free one is the last one. Just make sure you get/keep the membership certificate to provide to USSFCU.

I used them and they sent me the required photos and tracking within an hour of signing the docs when I was ready to pay. That was last week. Everything confirmed and all steps but delivery cleared by late morning the next day by Guide (Rivian even confirmed receipt of the check around lunchtime). Been waiting for step 8 delivery... got that email a couple hours ago. The SC in Chelsea MA is amazing and I'm getting delivery tomorrow!!!
