Hey folks
I know most people write then they are unhappy with something, but I thought it's worth mentioning when things actually go right.
I dropped off my R1S on Wednesday 2 weeks ago at the Martinez, CA service center and picked it up 8 days later. All of my issues were resolved, and I had quite a few that I've been waiting to address all together:
* Charge port door broke
* Mirrors wouldn't fold/unfold
* USB-C port in center console did not work properly
* Passenger seat rattle
* Doors rattles
* Dash rattle
They fixed it all. To my surprise they actually replaced some of the trims to fix the rattles - I thought they will just put tape/foam inside, and while they did that too, some of those panels were replaced with brand new ones.
Also I know a lot of us Gen2 owners have faulty USB-C in the center console - be that it charges slow with our dual wireless charger, or that you can't charge a laptop without the e-fuse triggering. I addressed that with the SC, and they replaced it -all issues fixed! I now always get fast charging + I can charge my laptop. For those of you curious about that particular one, here is what they did:
