More, but definitely not most. Either way, a welcome addition. Most secure way to do 2FA. Works like a champ. Coming soon to the vehicles with MFA-to-drive.
Wouldn't be Multi-Factor then...Would rather have a PIN to drive vs sending to device.
You don't send to the device. The authenticator on your phone works independant of any network connection.Would rather have a PIN to drive vs sending to device.
How do you figure? Doors have to open via key then PIN to drive.Wouldn't be Multi-Factor then...
Well shit. Touché.How do you figure? Doors have to open via key then PIN to drive.
heh I mean it's not how most "IT people" think of 2FA but I'd say it's "fits" the meaning.Well shit. Touché.
Exactly. I work in Cybersecurity, so this just didn't factor into my logic at all but I'd say it fits the bill. Something you have and something you know.heh I mean it's not how most "IT people" think of 2FA but I'd say it's "fits" the meaning.
Multi-factor:Wouldn't be Multi-Factor then...
Yeah, I've already commented on that above. Thanks.Multi-factor:
- Something you have (key, phone-as-key, keycard,)
- Something you know (PIN entered on screen, temp code on phone app that you have to unlock with passcode)
- Something you are (fingerprint, face scan, etc, could include fingerprint/face scan on phone to access app.)
Note that if your phone doesn't have a passcode or biometric unlock (aka, anyone can just wake it up and open apps) then anything in the Rivian app isn't secure, so it doesn't count as multi-factor.
