Impeachment is not a criminal process.
In the impeachment process, conviction is not a determination of guilt or innocence. It is a determination as to whether to remove from office or not.
As stated by the senate GOP leader, conviction (removal from office) did not apply as he was already out of office at that time.

This is independent of criminal investigations; for example a conviction after impeachment would not factor in to "double jeopardy" protection in the criminal process. The criminal process is what would lead to criminal penalties.
Was Trump convicted and removed from office? Yes or no.

No, because you cannot remove somebody from office if they are already out of office. That's what the GOP leader in the Senate stated specifically.

I thought you didn't want to talk politics?

What's incredibly funny about your rant is that I'm a gun toting registered Republican, and respect the constitution and the law. Cheers dude, you have anger problems.
My rant huh? Then explain to me what was meant by “some people have problems with critical thinking” if it wasn’t an implication that I’m not as smart as you are and therefore having difficulty understanding your remarks?

It’s not a rant if I’m addressing your direct insults. Don’t back pedal now that you’ve been called out for your personal insults, own them.

Until you, who’s actually the one who started this whole exchange, respects the rest of the forum I’m going to push back on every bullshit thing you’ve said. A conviction during Trump’s impeachment would have barred him from running for office again right?

Don’t pretend he wasn’t convicted because there was “no point” in doing so. The trial happened while he was still in office, and there was PLENTY of time for a conviction that would have barred him from future office. Did that happen or no?

If no, then Trump is to be presumed innocent at this point. Any statement to the contrary is partisan in nature and factually inaccurate.

I only see one person ranting here... and somehow it got to be about right vs "leftist" when we were only ever talking about one man who certainly has opponents on both sides of the aisle. I don't know about you but I'm a fan of the constitution. I'm not a fan of terminating it.

Getting back on topic, a Motley Fool article this week after the MB "cancellation" expresses the exact opposite sentiment about Rivian. Yeah, I know the Fool is as much fodder is as it is useful, but take it for what it's worth as a contrary viewpoint:

"Rivian stock plunged yesterday after the EV maker called off a potential deal with German luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz to make large commercial vans in Europe barely three months after signing a non-binding agreement. Rivian intends to prioritize deliveries of its existing orders on both the consumer (R1T pickup truck and R1S SUV) and commercial (electric delivery vans) sides.

It sounds like a savvy move, and analysts have been weighing it since yesterday. Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas, for instance, reiterated an overweight rating on the EV stock today with a price target of $55 a share. That's a more than 100% upside from Rivian's stock price as of the time of this writing."

LOL so now you actually are trying to declare that orange man bad talk is not partisan in nature? How about this, is it POLITICAL in nature? If so, take that bullshit somewhere else.

Interestingly I've seen the 2023 Ford TOTY mentioned in a couple of different places now (including that Motley Fool article), seemingly as a slight toward Rivian. But no mention that Rivian took that prize in 2022. I don't think that's a huge factor either way, but it's just interesting to see the press coverage.

There was a segment on Fox last weekend about the Ford F150 with Motor Trend, with the caption to the effect of "Ford Lightning is first EV to win award" or something like that. I thought about that for a bit - the only way that is accurate is if they meant it's Ford's first EV to win a Motor Trend award.

At this point it’s pretty obvious you need another. Here’s the link.

Im not the one consistently injecting my political opinions in here. In fact, I have yet to take ANY political stance. Perhaps all the people who continue to ignore the prohibition on political commentary in order to share how in their feelings they are over Trump should spend their time at your provided link

Personally I’d be happy if people just respected that politics are not allowed in this forum and stopped ranting.
