So true. One of the first questions that people ask me is "What's the range?" and they almost always reply with "Oh, that's too short for me". Then we talk and I try to get them to understand but there's been so much miss-information spread about EVs it makes it hard to get the facts across.
I have resorted to not telling people the range in miles. I say it is long enough that I have to get out and stretch my legs, go to the bathroom or eat long before my R1T battery is drained. Then they ask how long it takes to charge and I say about as long as it takes my family of 4 to get into and out of Buc-ee's.

Agree…

The irony of it all especially in my area is people complain about the gas prices and tax. The tax in Illinois is 47 cents per gallon. I pay an extra $100 for my registration on an EV.

So…rough math…200 gallons of gas will get you the $100 difference.

At 25 mpg for a vehicle…I would pay that much in 5000 miles.

So buy an EV if you hate gas taxes :)
