I’ve searched this forum, the open internet, and even the owners manual (which has basically no info on actual nav operation).

Is it not possible to name favorites/starred locations in nav? That seems an impossible thing to not have, but I cannot for the life of me find it.

Hopefully I am just missing something.

I have my home and work labeled. I don't remember how I did it though.

Yeah those two are pre-defined shortcuts you assign locations to. I have both of those filled as well, but can’t seem to name the random friends and family etc locations I have saved. Tesla allows naming, and of course any car with Car Play/Android Auto uses your contact names so it’s never an issue. I’m more inclined to believe I just haven’t figured it out yet than it doesn’t exist.

If you have the address saved under the preferred name in your Apple Maps favorites or if it’s from a stored contact, and use the share button from the iPhone to the Rivian, the name will follow. Then you can just make it a favorite destination. I do this with saved hiking trails from my maps favorites.
