I deal with this a lot at work, the geo coordinates for 0,0 is near Africa just south of Ghana in the Gulf of Guinea. It’s typically called “Null Island”.
If your location services aren’t enabled on your device, or it hasn’t had time to auto-locate, naturally it’ll start or default at 0,0 which is what you guys are seeing.
Lots of UX improvements that can be made here. Either having an interstitial until app confidence of current location is better or at the very least, anytime it’s at 0,0, throwing up a warning and pointing folks to enable location.
