Yeah, there are waaaaaaaay too many edge cases from people into sports that have to haul their equipment around on a regular basis to people with babies and/or small children that have car seats, strollers, bassinets, toys, wipes, etc.
It's almost like the guy who came up with this plan has no interaction with his many children and has no idea how parents operate.

Yeah, there are waaaaaaaay too many edge cases from people into sports that have to haul their equipment around on a regular basis to people with babies and/or small children that have car seats, strollers, bassinets, toys, wipes, etc. Traveling salespeople, delivery people with small home businesses, people in bands, art teachers hauling supplies for the next day, people who are taking care of someone sick and need to go to the hospital immediately without being charged thousands of dollars for an ambulance ride or waiting for a taxi to arrive, people who have to haul tools for work, people who like modifying their cars, people in rural areas that don’t want to wait forever for the taxi to arrive, the list goes on and on. I guess if there are so many edge cases, they’re just cases. 🤣
There's a potential robotic solution to this though. Storage pods that dock with the self-driving vehicle, so you can keep your crap in there and the car picks it up and brings it to you. It doesn't even need to get stored at your own house if you don't need to use it there.

I would have to say to each his/her own; I just sold my R1S Trimax with Ascent interior and have on order a Cyberbeast. The full self-driving, fast-responsive screen, tight-solid feeling ride, lifetime free supercharging, steer by wire, 800 volt architecture, and vault of a bed (tonneau cover you can stand on) is what I love compared to my R1S (my wife has had an AWD Foundation Cybertruck for almost a year for my comparison).
What a massive downgrade. There's no accounting for taste.

They now have over a year of orders in the queue. Now at April 2027. But, But, But Cybertruck dumpster trash that nobody wants:CWL:, Elon Baaaddd, Tesla Baadddd, Elon&Tesla Nazi's:rolleyes:.
Whats the current lead time on any R1S or R1T??
Really? They have 250K orders for this year already? That's the CT plant capacity, and considering how SpaceX had to buy 10K stagnant CTs last year because no one wants one, I think you're full of it.

Nah, investor as a side hustle since 25. Imagine loading the boat on Apple, Amazon, Google, Nvidia, Tesla ect...since way, way back. Retired early 4yrs ago at a young 49. The math didn't make sense to work anymore as my folio was in lotery teritory. It's nice bringing in 3x my biggest paycheques just off my dividends and capital lasting at least to 100...will likely never depleted it no matter how hard I try. In fact, in the last 4yrs my folio has grown bigger out and away from me inspite of my spending and living the dream.
On Monday morning when you get back on the treadmill working as a slave for the master...remember that I won't be. 🤣
What's the weather like on Fantasy Island?

Assuming it’s true, almost 6000 shares of Tesla would net about $1.9 million after taxes. Put that in an account returning 4% and with a paid off house it wouldn’t be hard to live off $60k/year after taxes while keeping the large principal safe for emergencies or splurges. And supposedly that’s just one of his holdings.
No way I could live off 60K a year.

All depends on the lifestyle. If you’re bougie and like having the newest of everything in an expensive area, definitely not. In cheaper areas of the US that’s enough for a comfortable lifestyle. Or just go big and live like a king in Thailand.

I am going to move on from this thread, but the idea that you “could” retire and live on $60k (which I certainly could not) isn’t the same thing as bragging about how big your “folio” is and how you built up this war chest for margin investing, blah blah blah. Could you “get by” on $60k - sure, but I wouldn’t be bragging about it or mocking people who continue to work to actually be able to afford things.

Thats only my "Tesla" position!! I also have Amazon, Google, Apple, Nvidia, Palantir, Facebook, MSTR. We all know how those have performed in the past 1 & 2 decades. It didn't really take a lot of money back then to grow into multiples of millions! Plus I have some other odd ball stuff in much lower holdings.
Then I have a bunch of various ETF's I keep in my retirement account that pay me my monthly dividends as income to live on. Those dividends last year were just under $400k $CDN.
Then my options income (for fun part-time side hustle) "netted" me $266k as per my tracking spreadsheet.
Last year was a very good year, best ever...but I'm going to get F'k in taxes owed in the next 2mths when I do them.

$60k? Go read my other reply. The other guy was assuming just under 6k Tesla shares was all I had which is not the case.
And as for any bragging, this only came up and the thread go sideways because someone who didn't like one of my earlier pro-Tesla comments saw my occupation in my signature as early retired and then went on to take a jab and reply "I bet you were "forced" into earlier retirement".
LOL. I worked very hard, and very smart, and our family sacrificed an aweful lot to get to where we are currently living that dream that most of you are still dreaming of.
I will never apologize for this! And yes, I will be proud and defend and even brag of my achievements.
I hope that everyone here gets there too if they haven't already yet. Thats why we invest!

Isn't it cool how anyone can be anything on the internet?

Fer sure. He's cooly exercising his right to be anything on the internet he wants, which on this forum is a douchebag who feels the needs to pump up his own ego and try to impress us. Fail.
