New Black Crossbars from Rivian

Are the silver/bright bars black underneath? In other words, sitting on top of R1S, how much of the silver does one really see at around 6' tall person?
Curious if I'd notice much a difference. There is a newish silver set near me for $350.

Bottom of silver bars is black/gray.

For those that have the OEM black cross bars, how are they holding up? I know the silver ones get oxidized after a while, and that black vinyl t slot get brittle

Mine stay on my truck and so far, they are perfect.

Only 8 months. And I park in a garage at night unless traveling. 10k miles.

So far so good , hope it holds up better than the silver ones , still have mine black ones in the box .
