I did my R2 test drive in Dallas yesterday. 90+ degrees and no clouds. The heat was barely tolerable - the glass was HOT to the touch and the AC could barely keep up. I'll be looking into suggestions posted in this thread.

I'd REALLY like a steel roof option at some point but certainly not holding my breath.

the dynamic roof dims the visible light really well, but 'less glare' and 'less heat' aren't quite the same thing — most of the heat you feel is infrared, and electrochromic glass doesn't block a ton of that on its own. if a cooler cabin is the goal, a ceramic IR film on the roof glass is what actually targets the heat side. we make a windshield/roof film built for exactly that (UV + IR) if you want to read the specs: https://twraps.com/products/windshi...m-rock-chips-uv-ir-defense-for-rivian-r1s-r1t

Do you have this for the R2? I only saw R1S and R1T on the site. If not, is there a plan for it in the near future?

Not yet, but my R2 should be available to order within 4-8 weeks so hopefully within 3 months or less I will have it and will make it! In the meantime if it shows up in the Bay Area on Turo or someone is willing to lend theirs for some time so I can make products, I may be able to release things sooner than that.
