Whoa, that Subaru was seriously wrecked. I hope the occupants are okay. This is one of the reasons I want the R1S for my family - the mass is a key safety feature. I just wish it had more legroom!

I get what you're saying here, but it's not really a "safety feature" if it necessarily works at the expense of the other vehicle.

The weight of EVs is a drawback, not an advantage, and the ballooning weight of passenger cars is net bad for safety, not good.
