As many of my fellow Canadian R1 owners know, the On the Run (Chevron) network does not show up in either the vehicle system or the app system at all. I noticed this disparity several months ago and kept thinking they would fix it, but they still haven't, so today I started a "chat" with a Rivian advisor and they couldn't tell me why the chargers don't show up, but they offered to submit a feature request with their internal team to add the network.

I suggest that if multiple people were to do this, we might get some action sooner.

(Now that they are charging money, I expect the stations won't be stuck in "power conservation mode" all the time now and be genuinely useful! I have found this network to be quite reliable around the interior of BC over several road-trips this winter and search them out over most other networks.)

How do you currently search for them? Wondering if we have any in Ontario

You can download their app. Ontario only has 3 stations on the east side of the GTA.

Journie network is On The Run, Pioneer, Fas Gas, Ultramar, and Chevron. I have had great charging experiences at multiple different Journie chargers. They’re easy to use, fast, and pretty reliable ( 90+% success rate for me) Bonus: they’re offering free charging! (Or at least they were.)

I’ll drop a line with a Rivian advisor as well to boost awareness of the network.

So after chatting with the Rivian advisor, he informed me that the process for requesting additions to the charging network is quite easy. Just fire a service ticket using the app, ask for the network to be added, and the service HQ will take the ticket and forward it to the nav team. Here’s what i just submitted:

I live in Canada and frequently use chargers on the Journie network as they're fast, reliable, and well designed. But the network doesn't show up in the Rivian nav so l can't precondition the battery. Please add the Journie network to our nav. Thanks!
And it’s already been sent off to the nav team.

Copy my message and smash that send button! :p
