Planning to fit Michelin Defender LTX 275/60 in the spring
I'm considering fitting the Scorpion AS+ 3 (115H) or the Defender LTX (115T).

The Scorpion is an SUV touring tire whereas the Defender is a highway tire. Hard to tell which one would have the better rolling resistance without actually testing it.

Do you have positive experience with the Defender LTX on other vehicles?

I'm looking at General Grabber HTS 60 in 275/60R20 116T XL as my 20" "road" tires. Waiting to hear back from Rivian on if I can get 20"AT-Bright wheel-only, or if they'll only sell wheel+tire set.

Do you think discount tires will install them? Since those don’t fully match the ratings

For what it’s worth, Tire Rack (now owned by Discount Tire) told me it’s fine as long as the load rating is 115 or higher.

You could go as low as 113 and meet the axle rating, rear being higher at 4960, or 2480 per tire. Load index 113 is 2535.

No direct experience yet, reviews are very good. Also all the Michelin tires I have had on many cars through the years have consistently been excellent. The defender is definitely geared towards trucks vs SUVs, might look at the Pirellis too in the spring.
Either way, would expect efficiency to get close to the 21s without the AT tires.
