I am a Cubs fan so I know about patience. Ordered a R1S in July 2019. I was hoping not to have to get new tires and/or trade in my old car before I get the Rivian. Not likely now with all the delays. Did the First Mile test drive on the R1T in September and was super excited. It would be nice to have a ballpark idea because if it goes beyond another 6 months, I have some decisions to make.

Just tell me I’ll get it before the Cubs win their next World Series.

Put your money on the Cubs.

It's probably going to be more than 6 months for an R1S.

I have LE R1S pre-order, before the current delay was thinking would get mine by March 2022. Now feel its going to be in second half of 2022.

My guess, its going to be more than 6 months easily! Sadly, Rivian lacks transparency and communication sucks so everything is just a blind guess.

Good news in about 40 days after tomorrow the quiet period will be over for the IPO and investors will have a much stronger pull than even us poor customers. Should start seeing a lot more communication that will at least satisfy the investors (i.e. quarterly build rates).

I would carry that patience until next MLB season is over, so November 2022. After that, I might start suggesting losing patience.

Speaking of Patience, it took 16 years for GNR to put out Chinese Democracy.

As an Indians fan, screw the Cubs, just like the 90s Braves, both were primed to be a dynasty and they just had to pick the Indians to beat.
