Thanks for posting. We've been looking at this as a possible 2028 MY but sadly another overpriced and under-specced vanity project from Porsche. Honestly impossible to imagine buying this over the BMW offerings or the R1S (except for the slow R1 charging problem which is very real). A few points:
  • Just like Rivian with the R2, the 2026 model year Cayenne has the old, not upgradeable, Mobileye "Supervision" system which is significantly behind the 2027 model year Eyes-off "Chauffer" system. I would not consider until next year.
  • The range is not good. It may hit a 300-ish EPA but very weak.
  • The charging is good.
  • IMO styling is meh, software is not good
Porsche just cannot seem to get a fully competent modern vehicle out the door. I'm still hopeful for the 718 EV but I do not know why.
