Potential Rivian Marketing Opportunity

Did anyone else watch Sir Richard Branson and the Virgin space launch this weekend? If you were paying attention there was a brief callout to the vehicles driving Richard and the crew from the landing sight to the media center. It was noted that Virgin has a marketing agreement with Land Rover - and then you saw 5-6 Land Rovers driving the short distance.

So, what should we expect in Bezo's similar event in only 8 days (I think it's supposed to be early next week)? What a GREAT Awareness opportunity for Rivian - if that's been pre-planned.

Bezos already did that when Blue Origin tested there space module. He drove the recovery vehicle to the capsule - RIVIAN R1T's

Thanks @wicked2112, yes I'm aware. That's what makes me even more hopefully this event will feature Rivians AND be featured on national TV. I expect the first Bezos flight to garner a LOT more media coverage.

Yeah, they definitely wouldn't ever do something like sending their first and second VIN trucks to South America along with at least 2 engineers and a whole bunch of charging stations for a documentary film with a big name actor and his friend who are driving the rather long way up from Ushuaia to LA.

Free to who? I'm pretty sure Long Way Up didn't pay for the Rivian Vehicles or the Live Wire Motorcycles.

Exactly. Rivian and HD almost certainly paid — with product, support, and probably money to the production company, too.

I am not saying that didn't happen but Rivian DID NOT market that. They posted about it ONE year later. Heck. I was the guy that found the original pictures on someone's IG account all the way down in Argentina when the trucks first made it down there...then InsideEVs and a couple of other sites picked it up. They haven't marketed anything yet with maybe the exception of the banners and signage at a few of their upcoming locations. I mentioned Rivian at two different car dealerships today and both of the salesmen looked at me and asked, "What's that?"...
