R1 Shop Access Granted!

I ordered one through the shop in SoCal and am still looking at 4-5 week delivery time. 7 of 8 steps completed. Weren't these supposed to be already in your area or did I miss something?

I too thought that the listed trucks were already in the area... not the case. Before making the selection my guide checked and my service center only had 1 vehicle. I didn't want that one so chose from the shop. The vehicle was still in Normal. My vehicle ended up being at my service center for about 2-weeks before they cleared it for delivery. I just got an email today to schedule my delivery.

I almost did try to grab that Red Canyon / OC truck...ugh.

Surprised no one has taken black on dark 20s yet. I would've if it was OC and forgo Underbody. Guide said unless you're just getting silly, it's not necessary. Canyon Red was actually great in person, definitely not my style, but I was super impressed when I finally saw it. Wife got me with the "Yeah, great, get a bright orange truck, that should only take a week to get keyed. You're an idiot."

One week. Guide said just ask for a new invite when it expires.

I originally had access to the R1 shop for about 2 weeks, but there was never more than a couple in there, most days it was just empty. This last time around now, I was invited a month ago. Still have access.

Had a guide contact me last week saying that they had an R1T identical to my configuration with the exception of having a large pack battery instead of my chosen max pack. Wanted to know if I would be interested in taking that truck. I told her that I'm waiting to see what is offered with the dual motor info when it's released here shortly and my wife and I were considering switching to a dual motor R1S. She was exceptionally bubbly and nice the whole time and reminded me that I can continue to browse the R1 shop and if another R1T of this configuration came up, she would reach out to me.

Same exact 3 in SoCal that you have in your screenshot (so assuming they are in Normal). Except we have two more, a white and green.. makes me think these are local since it's only showing up here. I think that triple black on 20 ATs will get picked up next.

That white one below was in Denver for awhile but now it’s gone….agree on the 3x black!

The Shop trucks are ones available at both the SC’s close to you, as well as trucks at the factory. That’s why you’ll see some of the same trucks in multiple Shop locations. If the truck you pick is at a SC close to you, then delivery will be quick. But if you choose a truck that is still at the factory, then you’re at the mercy of the train schedule bringing it to your SC. The only way to tell where the truck physically is will be by asking your guide.
