R1S for R1T

Hello all,
I have a R1S coming first half of 2023, LA Silver, Adventure, Forest edge with 21" Wheels will let you know the other detailed config. If anyone can wait and wants to exchange place in line for R1T send me a message. I am ready and need a vehicle. I am in Los Angeles and would be willing to swap the place in line. Does not matter color as long as its QUAD Motor. I am ready to take delivery. Also the R1S may show up earlier than 2023 since it has the config that they are building sooner.

I'm just trying to understand why someone would delay taking delivery of an R1S until 2023 when if they wanted an R1S they could switch their R1T order and get it sooner OR if they actually had a truck they could simply sell it at a profit and place an R1S order for sometime in 2023 / 2024 but have $60k profit to go get a "free" Mach-e or EV 6.

Hey if someone wants to make money then its their call, if someone who wanted a R1S and prefer it for a family with young ones then this is an option. If someone was to place an order today they'd be lucky to have it by 2024 not to mention the price hike on the quad motor.

There has been several replies here regarding swopping R1T for R1S or R1S for R1T. In both cases, Rivian responds with similar delivery timeline regardless of S or T that you were originally assigned to and notified last year.

So if someone has a near R1T, and wants R1S, then the timeline would be before your 2023H1, I believe...

Just an FYI: Rivian is not allowing vehicle swaps between people of any kind anymore.

They locked down the account settings, and explicitly now say you cannot change a vehicle to another person.

You missed my point, let me try again:

If I have an R1T reservation that is close to delivery, i can switch it to an R1S and keep my place in line which would get me an R1S before yours (I would likely get an LE early fall 2022 if I switched)

if someone placed an order today, they couldn't do what you are asking because they wouldn't have a truck.

If someone has a truck then I guess they could make a decision about whether it's better to pocket $50 or $60k in profit vs. selling you the truck at cost and then getting an R1S 6-12 months earlier than if they ordered today.

In essence, you're asking someone to give you their spot in line with absolutely no compensation. I'm just curious if you can think of any reason someone would do that - I guess the answer is someone who wants to wait 6-12 months to get an R1S at the cost of $50-$60k - or nobody.
