R1S Gen-2 Round Trip VA-CA

Hello Everyone,

In November 2024, I traded my Launch Edition R1S for a Gen-2 Tri-Motor R1S. Between December 2024 and January 2025, my wife and I traveled from Springfield, VA to San Diego, CA and back in our R1S-G2. We camped each night, staying at military bases and state park campsites. One of our return stops was the Rivian Joshua Tree Charging Outpost.

My most recent trip, in March 2025, was from Virginia to Georgia. On the return leg, I experienced hands-free driving for the first time.

plus, that’s a lot of driving, I’ve done VA to CA, a twenty year layover, and CA to VT. That’s a lot of driving!
