R1S Updated Timeline - Per My Guide

folks who are concerned about not having a guide: With the R1T those folks are getting guides sometimes as little as 10 days before they get their trucks.

I think is doubtful we see early april deliveries but i wouldn't be concerned until early-mid may if you haven't heard.

I had an expected May-June delivery date. Spoke to my guide for the first time today. She confirmed my configuration, then asked if I could take delivery sooner. “Uhh yes please”! asked if we were talking about April or what. She says, “nope more like, before the end of March, or next week”. Well hot damn!

I made made my preorder for the R1T Launch Edition in Launch Green November 2020. She said my configurations matches a batch getting ready for final inspection.

Interesting update for my R1S. Got this from Rivian Friday 3/25/2022:

Good news! Next week, your Rivian Account Page will reflect your pre-March 1, 2022 preorder pricing. Going forward, your Account Page will be the best place to get the latest, most accurate information about your order. We’re also excited to introduce you to your Rivian Guide next week. They will support you through the entire process, from finalizing and confirming your configuration to taking delivery of your brand new R1S. You’ll be able to begin setting up intro calls with them starting the week of April 4th. As always, feel free to reach out to us with any questions you might have. We appreciate hearing from you. So, based on what I've been hearing, first contact (a la Borg) generally means a Rivian lands in your driveway anywhere from 2-8 weeks. I'll add more when I actually talk to my guide next week to see what that timetable really looks like. Meanwhile, I've got an R1T First Mile scheduled for next weekend.

Hah you're right, just noticed that! You should drop your config in your signature . What wheels are you getting? I'm also potentially contemplating a swtich from LG to FG but I have some time to make that decision, I think.

I have also ordered R1S in July of 2020 with July/Sept window promised. Fingers crossed that holds true.

I have a June/July window for an LE R1S. Not only have I not had contact with a guide, my pricing is still showing the price hike. I have literally no idea what's going on.

We have the same window and are both in CO. Spoke to CS yesterday and they said pricing should revert middle of next week once the update rolls out. Also don’t have a guide yet

Looking forward to hearing how your call goes. (11/26/18 R1T > R1S preorder, bay area, April/May window, no guide contact yet, no email). The cynic in me is worried they'll just reach out and say there is a massive delay by phone vs. by email to avoid as much of a blowback....but hopefully it's a similar experience to the R1Ts (2-6 week delivery after guide contact). Can't wait to see pics of the interior and hear actual hands-on experience with third row access etc. Congrats on movement and keep us posted!
