R1S vs model X lease

Was doing some pricing to see what it would cost to replace our 2019 model X. Turns out that leasing a R1S is much cheaper ($400 less a month), even though the SUV is $7k more expensive. All with similar down payments.

Really hard to compare. I suspect it’s a matter of residual value. And maybe a little with interest rates.

I looked at the X also before leasing an R1S… Rivian in my opinion was a better choice and mine was $200 cheaper based on a quad setup.

Either Tesla low balls it's residual or Rivian is overly optimistic
