R1T shop demand and prices

I've been watching the R1T shop configs and not seeing many disappearing from the inventory at all. Does this mean there's not much demand for these configs? Also Rivian shows different prices for me and a friend of mine who reserved before me. A particular config shows 92900K for me and 84500K for him. I'm aware of the price increase but why should it matter now since they're offering us vehicles from the same inventory. I emailed my guide about this but so far no response. Any thought?

Your friend got in before the price increase. Rivian decided to honor the original pricing from everyone who preordered before they increased the standard pricing. As to why it should matter it matters because 92900 is what that truck costs now, the only reason your buddy has it for cheaper is because he is getting a deal from Rivian. Rivian is doing your friend a favor, and losing money on his truck.
