I chatted with CS. All of the people who are getting this email have been sent this email. The rest of us should get an update by end of summer. They told me the emails went to people they expect to get their vehicle in 2022 Or were originally 2022 and moving to 2023.

They also told me they are batching just R1Ts right now.
That doesn't make sense as a bunch of us in Canada had 2022 delivery windows (in fact I had 2022 windows for both my pre-orders). No word at all. Didn't even get the "we need 2 weeks" email for the R1S updates. Just complete radio silence. I am fully expecting to get pushed to 2023 (pissed about it, but expecting it). However they had better not with until end of summer to send us an update that our July - Sept windows have been changed.

Mine moved up, was Oct-Dec 22. Now sept-oct 22. Made some changes 2 weeks ago, dropped the off road skid plate and changed to 21's. My lighting has a build date of 8/8. Looks like I'll have to make a decision soon.
BOTH!!!!

Same for me. Such BS. >24 hours later and I’m still angry.
24 hours later and i still don't have any emails. Which means my 2 2022 deliveries are most likely pushed to 2023. Except. I don't know for sure because they haven't bothered to email us to let us know.

I'm happy that some people have clarity or even an earlier delivery. But Rivian continues to utterly fail at communication. And delivering on promises to their customers.

I remember when RJ was adamant all LEs would get delivered in 2022. That didn't age well...and it wasn't even that long ago.

I went from June-July to July-August. Ha Ha. I think that's silly. I've been assigned a guide, I have a VIN, and I've completed 7 of 8 steps. I was told by the local Portland rep that I have a window for delivery to choose from, starting on Monday. Since I don't get paid time off, I chose Friday afternoon or Saturday. I'm expecting to hear back on Monday with a confirmed day and time.

So I got a Aug-Sept 2022 window yesterday even though I was told by my guide my vehicle was in production and I had a VIN assigned on his end. Tonight I got the email to start my 8-step process. So I can confirm if you have a vehicle assigned and got a new window that seems off it is. Also does anyone know the turn around time from when you start the 8-step to delivery typically?

My guess would be 2 to 3 weeks, unless it was for an orphan R1T that matched your configuration.

What VIN did you get? I have 6483.

I have a theory that people with multiple orders weren’t emailed. I wasn’t. Hoping others with multiple R1T orders can chime in.

My eta went from Oct to Dec 2022 to Dec 22 to Jan 23
Ok would love everyone’s opinion-this December will be 4 years. Went from march april just now to November which means next year.
I have absolutely no trust left in these people anymore. I also work in the world of supply chains and most companies have a better grasp on what is happening right now. I find this to be fairly pathetic and just sad really.

do I tell rivian to screw?

I'm going to hit 4 years. Would cancel it to spite them. But I have no alternatives.

Thing is, Rivian could not care less about early preorder holders. Thus far, they have given virtually no weighting to preorder date.

They have to read these forums. They have to see how pissed off the people are who preordered 3+ years ago. Can you imagine the goodwill that would come from a targeted email to 2018 and 2019 preorder holders who have not received their vehicle? At least acknowledge the folks that built your preorder numbers so high for the IPO. Let them know you’re working on a solution. That was supposed to be the R1 Shop, right? Doesn’t seem to be working out like that.

And if we cancel, what they only have 89,997 people behind us? No spite to be had here

It’s like we’ve been waiting in line all night at Best Buy for a $199 65” tv on Black Friday. We’re at the front of the line. Things seem orderly. Someone brought donuts. Then 6:30am comes and BOOM Best Buy opens the back doors instead. It’s a bum-rush and ain’t none of us getting that damn tv.
