So I guess the R2 tri-motor will be the hotrod of the Rivian line-up? Or do you think the R3 will be the accleration king if it also gets a tri-motor setup?


Also, no mention of the rear charge port on the R2 during the livestream today?

Yeah, faster than R1's makes R1 much less attractive. :(

I saw what looked like the charge port door, but it was on the rear passenger side, that seems odd.

Only if you really care about that sort of thing. To me, it doesn't mean much at all. But it is interesting that they are making a tri-motor version of the R2. That was unexpected.

Very odd, considering that deal with Tesla for supercharing. Maybe they flip it to the other side for production models?
