R2 Dash Cam Footage Feature?

I tried searching "dash cam" in the forum, but only came up with info on 3rd party dash cams. Is it correct to conclude that Rivian does not allow access by the R2 car owner to the integrated camera footage?

You'll have access via Gear Guard once it's enabled. If you connect an external drive, you can record everything, otherwise it keeps snippets.

I think in another thread it is said to be available in first software update. It will probably be just like the Road Cam feature in R1. https://stories.rivian.com/software-update-2023-14-0
