I've seen a few interesting videos of the R1 light bar animations but it looks like the R2 won't be getting these as a cost cutting measure. Has anyone heard anything different? I'm used to having to check my phone app for Tesla while charging anyway but the animations on the R1 vehicles look pretty unique and a standout feature for Rivian. Hate to see that go but economics of mash production has to have some collateral damage I guess.

It does not have the external lightbar/charging indicators.

That's what I was afraid of but it's not a deal breaker anyway. I won't be paying the extra $$$$$ to get a larger Rivian that won't fit inside my garage anyway.

It’s a neat trick with hardly any impact on daily usage. I’d be more interested in whether it has adaptive matrix headlights. Even then my “dumb” gen1 lights have never left me wanting (unless the funky auto high beam function is enabled).
