I noticed something today - and a Google search reveals it's never been mentioned. While driving across the Cascades in All Purpose mode I noticed that on the vehicle screen (which I was looking at to see altimeter and motor temps) the message "Reduce your speed to change drive mode" appears when you hit 85 and disappears when you drop back to 80.
If you remember when Rivians were new there were some messages on this board asking if it was OK to change mode while in motion. Some do on the highway, others have mentioned they only do it at slower speed (on ramps for instance).
Of course now I'm wondering what's special about 85 MPH - and when this would matter. Going from to/from Conserve I can certainly see an issue and am glad to see the limit is so high (AND there's a built-in protection). But going to Sport mode would I think just change the suspension. And Snow mode...wow, 85 MPH in the Snow would be...exhilerating.
