I also got that email, and will probably just leave it off since I have a built 4runner for rougher trails. I was planning on using the 21's for longer road trips and getting 20" all terrains for the rest of the time. I wonder if anyone has looked at producing aftermarket skid plates?

I'm in the same boat. My underbody protection was removed a couple days ago. I was planning on using the 21" for road trips and a set of aftermarket 20" for snow and mountain. My solution is to stick with my same plan for 21" and 20" just be nervous when I drive over large rocks.

I'm guessing OP might be Canadian. Up until last night, we Canadians were still able to select the 20" tires, RUS, and spare tire individually, even though this change was done months ago in the US.

Sadly, I too received this email last night, although because I already had the 20" wheels configured, my email indicated they automatically added the RUS (via the new All Terrain package), and therefore my price went up.
OP here. I’m in SoCal. Rivian seems like they are removing the a la cart options and forcing the rest of us into packages. Yes it’s a savings as a whole but NOT what I need or want. So it’s not really a savings for me. If I end up going with the package, I’ll still need to get 21” tires and rims to use for roadtrips.

I was pretty sure I had the UBS but it appears to have disappeared. I am not sure if that happened months ago when changing to 21" but I think it was more recently as I believe the cost also went down.
Crappy deal as I did not want to pay an additional $5450 Ca for the off-road package.
Likely impossible to find Max/21" with UBS in the shop at this point
