Replacing 22” Range tires & wheels(?)

Looking for some input from the community. I have a 2025 R1T Tri that I bought used. The PO swapped AT wheels and tires for the 22” Range wheels/tires. I’d like to go back to an AT setup as I do some snow and light off-road driving. Mostly highway but some mountain and snow driving as well. I prefer the look of an AT tire on the truck.

I’m debating either mounting Pirelli XTM ATs on the 22” range wheels or switching to a 20” wheel / tire entirely. Any recommendations of which way to go and if swapping to 20s, whats best for mostly highway with some snow and off road use?

Switch to 20”. More tire options. More sidewall and air volume to soak up imperfections in road. Proper choice for off-roading. And, aesthetically, better visual proportions than low profile with AT tread. Better appearance and, most importantly, better function.

I opted for the XTMs on my 22” wheels. The cost of new 20” wheels and tires was just too high for me. So far so good but we haven’t had much snow in CO yet. I’ll know more in a month how they perform. I would have preferred the 20’s for reasons previously stated but I think this should work pretty well for half the price.

I would stick with an aggressive highway tire unless really getting into the weeds and rocks.
