I am loving peoples concept art on this. Imagine a kit this large to cross a 300 foot body of water (hopefully in the 30 min time window!).
Where would you even put the boat kit after? The truck bed is already full of Elon Approved ExtenZ batteries and the spare tire.
Also, I hate to give away million dollar ideas, but could we perhaps see a flying car attachment kit in the future, a la The Man with the Golden Gun?

Be prepared for water inside. Newer Toyotas are sealed pretty well at the doors and can survive a while before the carpet gets a free wash. Older ones not so much unless you keep a bit of a wave going while careful not to ingest any.

Keep in mind that this is Tesla, so the feature won't be available for 4 more years, it'll only work up to 1 foot of water, and it'll require a $16,000 add-on module that eats up half of your storage space and weighs 700 pounds.

The man is shrewd. Promised $40k bullet-proof, 500 mile range, stupid quick, mass produced trucks just in time to collect pre-order dollars from potential rivian buyers. Four years later delivered 12 trucks with 1 of the myriad promises met or exceeded (stupid quick) at nearly twice the price.
I'm not even a CT hater. In fact, if it weren't so damn hideous, I'd be among the hoards of waiters.
R. J. Put together a really nice vehicle that bests all trucks in it's weight class in all but a category or two and those almost never come into play for me.
Musk has done some impressive feats. This cannot be denied. The car company he started competes with legacy auto makers. The plaid versions out perform nearly everything any other manufacturer has ever produced. He shot a car he made into space! Who else can do that? No doubt this contributes to his ability to gain the confidence of the masses.
