I’m waiting for this, too. I’m the kind of nerd who reads the manual for a new vehicle before purchase whenever possible.

Way back when DuckTruck rode an Indian, and I was a just college graduated teenager, my boss at a small software firm got his new Mercedes delivered to his reserved spot (delivery was something unique then). I don't remember what it was, but I remember it would have cost three years of my pay Anyway, he walked out to the car, opened the glove box, pulled out the owner's manual, walked to the break room, and sat there and read the thing for two hours, *finally* satisfying all our curiosities by walking out and starting the car.

He sounds like my kind of guy.

Any time I buy something which is expensive (like a vehicle) or which can be dangerous if used improperly (like power tools… or a vehicle) I like to read through the entire manual. Even if I don’t remember the details for doing something, the location of an item in a menu, or a potential hazard, I’ll probably remember that it’s possible, available, or something to avoid and then get the details from the manual.

Plus, if you have access to the manual in advance you can start using your purchase fully and safely as soon as you get it! I’m nerdy and impatient.

I do the same. And if something complex has assembly instructions, I'll read (at least skim) through all of the instructions before starting.
