Quick tip: I've been aiming the front vent to direct cool air just over the top of the phones while charging and it keeps the temps in check. Not sure about winter yet...

First samples were not great. The factory is smoothing out the mold. I guess asking them to make a thin piece is difficult. My issue was that we could see the tooling lines and personally that won't fly.

We are getting everything else ready. As soon as these are in our hands we will let em loose.

Trust us. We want you guys to have these just as badly.

Sorry for the delay. Finally got my samples today. Good news. They look good. Bad news: wrong color but that’s fixed in production.
Going to test the samples and see where it takes us.

We are finally on the tail end.

Another update now that we have something to talk about. Testing is going well. The silicone is EXTREMELY grippy. It's also nice how it lays on the base. So far we have only received the gen2 samples, and I have been testing that in my gen1 vehicle. I was also able to laser the silicone, so we will have custom designs as an option again.

We are also working with a couple of testers for the Gen2 design. I want to get feedback from them, and I want to get confirmation of color from the factory. Once I get all of these in place, we will open pre-orders for gen2 vehicles. As soon as I get the production parts, I will create an install video to show the process of installing the charger. (Harder than gen1 but just requires removing 6 screws and reinstalling them.)

If you are wondering why I am not showing photos or creating the videos with our samples: the color is totally off. And I don't want people to make assumptions of the final design without it looking perfect.

HAHA. Yup! I'm working with them on it. Trying to give some feedback and hopefully a fix.

Order is in with the factory for the Gen2 charger. Once I get a timeframe, I'll probably create a new post.

Factory is expecting the gen2 order to be fulfilled next week. After that it's just waiting for delivery, install video, and start selling the product.
