And by one hell of a coincidence, my first Lordstown Endurance.
Rivian R1T R1S Saw my first Rivian tonight! PXL_20220121_220452100

I drive by these chargers every day. Never saw an EV truck at them before. First glance I was upset that two trucks were parked in the spots until I realized the charging lights on the chargers were on. Had to turn around and have a chat. Rivian driver was on his way out so I stuck around and talked with the Lordstown guy for a while. He had some interesting things to say, but I don't know how much of it he'd want me repeating.

Pre-emptive "Sorry I didn't take the photos from a good angle to do a size comparison". They are pretty similar.

You should have suggested a drag race right there! Surprising how similar they look.

Wow! That's like seeing a Unicorn jumping a rainbow to skewer a two-headed shark at the moment they both get struck by lightning. Or something like that.

I'd love to hear what the Endurance driver had to say. Did it have anything to do with evading the SEC or Law Enforcement?

I asked the Lordstown guy about that actually. He said the truck is surprisingly quick for how heavy it is. I offered to race him in my Polestar 2 but he didn't take me up on it. Guess I'll just have to get lucky enough to meet one at a stoplight some day.

I told him I have some stock in Lordstown. I didn't tell him it's because I sold out-of-the-money puts on it and it fell low enough that I got assigned shares...

He told me he has stock too. My entry point was a lot better.

I'm actually stunned to hear someone I've communicated with is testifying that they've actually witnessed an Endurance in the real world. Please tell me you went into the Marathon station and bought those lottery tickets we talked about. You know I'm good for half of the cost, if any of them are winners. ?;)?

Wow, what are the chances of seeing both of those at the same charger? I was interested in the Endurance AND the Bollinger when they first released concepts. Then I saw what Rivian was doing and decided they were the only one actually trying to make a real vehicle that might see the road one day. That striping on the Endurance is just awful looking.

I wonder if the windshield sticker indicates a factory pre-production/prototype vehicle? By chance, did you notice a plate on the back, or anything to indicate it may licensed to an individual, or did he mention anything about any of that?

Thanks for sharing all of this with us, and for enduring my litany of silly questions. I happen to be stuck in the house having just been diagnosed with COVID. Should you find those two there tomorrow with a Badger nearby, I will violate my lockdown to pick up more lottery tickets. Don't anybody panic, I'll wear my mask. Let me know if you want in. ;)

Remarkable! Admittedly, I don't know anything about the Lordstown (horrible name for a car company btw - sounds more like a tragic event than a truck). The Rivian has always looked refined and, by all accounts, seems to be. Next to that Endurance, even in an iffy cell phone photo, the R1T really shines!

It was a PPV. Plate was Ohio MFG. Tires were very recently put on because they still had sticker residue on the treads.

Nice detective work! If It'd been me, I'd likely have been so excited, I'd have to refer back to the photo just to tell you the color.

Must have been exciting to see two unicorns together in the wild.

Thanks again for all you've shared here!

I hadn't thought about that sad association of the company name before but, in reality, it references Lordstown, Ohio. I sure hope for the good people there that the Endurance makes it into production as the fleet vehicle they say it can become, wheel-motors, and all.

I legitimately didn't realize Lordstown was still trying to make the Endurance.
