Long press your name and it captures diagnostics and adds a time stamp for service. Very helpful.
Very interesting! Can I do this when adaptive cruise or lane assist freaks out? Will it capture what happened a few seconds ago? My Gear Guard captures random incidents where nothing is going on, but failed to capture an accident.

Have you done a hard reboot? Does it still do it after that?

I honestly don't know if it records more logs after it's pressed, or just adds a timestamp. But service has repeatedly informed me that it is very helpful. I say that if it is something you plan on putting in a ticket for, press then you should do it.

Friends - I figured it out and Riv Service confirmed my diagnosis. The Riv driver's seat has several weight sensors to be sure a person of suitable size (read, not a kid) is in the seat. My wife has a fused spine which makes it totally flat; there is no curve to fit into the recess of any car seat. She uses an array of pillows to fill the gap, with varying success (it never really works). We discovered a seat insert made by Relax the Back which actually provides the support she needs. Attached is the product tag with a picture of it. The insert has a 1/8" carbon steel frame that isolates it from the seat weight sensors. My wife started using it a few days ago and that's when the issue began. At some stop lights - not all of them - the Riv did not sense her in the seat and went into "Ready." To test my theory I used the insert and the problem happened. As a final test my wife drove the Riv without the insert and there were no problems.

At their request, I sent the product tag to Riv Service which will pass it along to their engineers.

Thank you all for help. Some of you were close but not quite there.
