Recently, when stopped at a traffic light, with my foot off all pedals, the Riv shifts to the "Ready" mode so to move again I have to step on the brake to re-engage the drive mode. Anyone else have this experience? Thanks in advance.

Yes. Driving along, belted in, no change in seating, stop at a light, after a few moments the Riv shifts to "Ready."

No. Get in, close door, pull away, no issues. BTW, its not every light. Its random. Should have said that earlier.

Yes, this happens to me periodically as well. No rhyme or reason as to when. Seems to happen at longer lights I think? But it's super annoying. I keep forgetting to hit the button and capture it so I can call up support.

Are you vigorously dancing and lifting your butt off the seat to the point where it thinks you may have left the vehicle? You can tell us:turkey:

I would ask Rivian if there is anything in the logs to explain this behavior.

I've never had it happen at a stop light.

I believe its happened while in adaptive cruise control on the freeway where I was stopped for awhile. But, that's a different scenario.

Long press your name and it captures diagnostics and adds a time stamp for service. Very helpful.

If you hit the hazard or long press your name the vehicle will capture diagnostics. They are available to techs.

I believe there are several things that cause this behavior
1. Open the door - doubtful here
2. Lift out of seat without seatbelt - maybe
3. Vehicle hold error - possible
4. Timeout. I don’t recall how long but eventually the vehicle with shift into park with inactivity. - probable if sitting at a long light.

Next time you are at a light, start chanting “The power of Christ compels you, the power of Christ compels you….”

If it doesn’t shift into ”Ready” don’t contact Rivian, call a priest.
