Just installed the latest update on my gen1 w/replaced tonneau and now it's telling me that I need to recalibrate the tonneau.

Okay, NBD

I run the calibration and it tells me I still need to calibrate the tonneau. In the meantime, it won't open.

Did both resets to no avail.

And I'm a few days away from trying to sell it to carvana. FML.

Here’s the good news - Carvana will not verify tonneau operation. They do a quick “does it work and not light on fire?” test and you get a check 10 mins later.

I kind of figured, but wasn't sure if they'll look at my notifications bell or not
We just sold them an i3 which had an SRS/Airbag light and they didn't ask questions.

So I don't think broken tonneau will even catch their attention.

Update: mobile tech fixed. It was also going slowly and there was a moment when they thought it could be a burnt out motor, but they did some digging on their laptop and ran some routine.

Tried calibration again and the motor was powerful and calibration worked!

The Tucson Mobile techs are truly awesome

But seriously, it was something quick they could do for me on short notice. Mobile techs service my area on Thursdays and they were able to squeak in a quick check while they were in the area.

The fact that they just opened the second SC might also free up the bandwidth.

Being nice, flexible, and being clear that you don't expect to be entitled to special treatment go a loooong way when asking for help in a jam.

The two Phoenix area SCs have consistently won the day for me over the last 3 years so it makes me sad to hear about other SC horror stories.

I have now recalibrated 3x over the last two OTAs. Gen1, original equipment tonneau.

Seems there is a threshold that needs to be updated to stop the app from always telling us it is open?
