Texas EV Rebate

I found this program https://www.tceq.texas.gov/airquality/terp/ld.html where Texas will give you $2000 for buying an alternative fuel vehicle. However Rivian is not a listed vehicle. The website says that the manufacturer must fill out the paperwork to be included. I emailed Rivian about it today but I thought that if they had more people tell them about the program Rivian might fill out the paperwork.

Let Rivian know that us Texans would like them to sign up so we can save some money!

If I recall correctly the manufacture has to have dealerships and no direct sales. So no Rivian, Tesla, etc

That would make sense as there are no Teslas either on the list.

The only thing that I could find is "Only vehicles offered for sale or lease in Texas are eligible for this rebate grant."

I guess Rivian technically doesn't sell any vehicles in Texas?

If you read some of the other documents it states it has to be filed by a dealer or leasing agent and requires dealer signatures.

Crazy how powerful some lobbies are.
