Grand Touring is $94,900 (Touring not available yet) and everything is an extra option from my standpoint. Every color but black is $1k, it's $2500 extra for heated steering wheel. Upgraded suspension, radio, adas, technology, comfort, handling all have a base and 1-2 uncharges for $1500-$6750 each. I couldn't design one for less than $105K+ just to configure what should already be on a $100K vehicle. It's like buying an ICE car from a legacy dealer, if you want X you need to buy the package with stuff you don't care about.

They are on crack regardless of how many reservations they have or buyers have way more money than brains that are buying these things.

Drove one last Tuesday for about an hour (solo) at the Scottsdale location. Smooth, crazy quick, nice fit/finish, real leather. But it feels heavy, and honestly, nothing about it screams “I need this in my garage.” Manager said don’t expect real inventory until end of the year.

Two of the staff admitted they’re just hoping the company survives. Hard to see real demand here. Cool product, good tech, but timing was off and there’s basically zero market momentum. Hope they make it, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

When our R1S lease is up, we will definitely be test driving a Gravity. It's the only other 3-row EV that is appealing. We really need 3-rows and a large front trunk. The Cadillac EV would be an option but it's way to big and expensive.

I don't need the off-road capabilities of the R1S, but living in Colorado and dealing with snow in the mountains, it's nice to have decent ground clearance. The Gravity X would be a nice upgrade over the standard Gravity.

The biggest advantages of the Gravity are much faster charging speeds and the ride quality. My wife rode in the back of our R1S for the first time on a recent trip up to Denver and she couldn't believe how rough it is riding in the back seat. Rivian really needs to change the suspension design for the Gen3 R1S and improve the rattles and ride quality, along with the charging speeds.
