Finally took delivery of an R1S today. My first delivery, scheduled on May 30th on a Limestone quad was canceled due to a hail storm a couple of days before. Hail damage was minor and the service center had a PDR service quickly repair it.
Second delivery attempt was on June 7th. Got to the service center a few minutes prior to my appointment to start looking it over and noticed some point problems at the top of the rear hatch. Turned out that someone (they blamed the factory) had buffed right through the clear coat and paint. They said it would have to go to a body shop and be at least 6-8 weeks. I ended up refusing delivery.
Knowing that the quad inventory was about gone, I quickly get with my guide to help me locate a new VIN. The next day I was able to find an El Cap Granite (was always my second choice) with with Mountain Black/Dark ash interior and 20" all terrains. It made it to the service center this week and I was able to take delivery today. It was a long process but was definitely worth the wait.
Here are a few quick pictures from the garage after getting it home today. Now to schedule full front PPF, ceramic coating and window tint.
