Tinting roof glass

I tinted my roof as soon as it was delivered and live in South Florida-the glass has not had an issue and I’ve had the R1S for 13 months.

How much tint did you have installed? Also, do you still install a roof shade still?

Rivian Gen2 owners manual doesn’t say anything bad or provided guidance against/about tinting the roof. Matter of fact it refers to a “fixed tint”.

Update: could be “factory“ tint? No warning against tinting the roof though.

Well, I don’t know the roof % but it’s as dark as the rear side windows and the UV clear on the windshield helps as well. It is substantially better than when I first got it and she sat in a hot exposed parking lot for 2 hours-it was well over 100 inside. I have a front shade as well but don’t need to use that regularly. ALSO since I have lupus, I tinted the driver side and passenger side window (need to have a doctor fill out the FL form).
