Waited a bit to post this but thought I'd share briefly my approach to overland build. I've done a bunch to the truck from cosmetic to lighting:
- Baja Designs XL80 pair both in the a-Pillars and Bumper
- I used seasucker heavy duty vacuum mounts so I didn't have to drill into the bumper
- Baja Designs sPod switch and touchscreen solution, wired through the existing points into the cabin
- Wildlands Air Cruiser RTT and a bunch of their accessories including wind breaker, aux tent and utility tent
- EVSportline soft roll tonneau cover
- Rivian roof and bed mount bars
- A bunch of abstractocean goodies from stickers to console trays and tow hook covers
- Gear America off-road recovery gear
- Maxxtrax boards and Rivian mounts for the bars
- ICECO 45-quart fridge/freezer chest that fits in the bed under the tonneau
- Rapid air release valves
- a bunch of camping gear all neatly fit into the
- and much more...
One nice side feature of the Baja Designs controls panel is that you can monitor the battery voltage at all times, which with the ongoing 12V issues on this truck really gives me peace of mind. It also has a 100A fuse and other security features that give me more confidence in running aux equipment off the 12V.
The Air cruiser RTT is supremely easy to set up and tear down and super comfortable. Takes less than 5min to get it up and even less to get it down and wrapped up.
