I’ve done Maple Springs to Santiago Peak and +1 recommend as a good first time trail with good views. I’d also say to air down, since someone asked. You’ll get over rocks easier and lessen a sharp rock puncturing a sidewall or something.

Does someone have a google maps route for this they can share? Is this the path people take?

And do you double back around the same way for return trip?
Input Maple Springs Trailhead and Santiago Peak and you'd have that route. Same if you input Ortega Hwy as your starting point. Add your actual starting location, ahead of the two, and you'd have the full route.

There are a few sections where you'll have to back up or stay put to let others go by. In the video below, I got pretty high up on the side to let a few vehicles by going uphill. Gladiator driver gave some props to the Rivian:

i haven’t yet. Since this will be my first off roading adventure I’m prob going to go alone first and next time bring the kids. If anyone here wants to try this together I’m down for that.
I would be down to go, also my first time there. Let me know
