I encountered a strange issue this week. The Rivian Android app update was pushed out to my phone on Thursday and the phone stopped functioning as a key for my R1T. Tried everything but it just would not permit the phone to be a key. I could see the key on my phone, but it would never make that link to the vehicle. I saw that the new Rivian OS was going to be pumped out this week, so I held off on a problem ticket to see if the update would fix it. It did.
My R1T got updated to the 2024.40.30 OS this morning, and I was then able to make my Android phone a key again shortly after.
